How do I create a standup? expand_more

Type /dumbcheckin in any channel and click "Create New Standup". Set your name, schedule, and timezone. Make sure to invite the bot first with /invite @Dumb Check In.

How do members receive standup prompts? expand_more

At the scheduled time, each member gets a DM from Dumb Check In with your questions. They can submit their update, skip for the day, or pause if they're away.

Where do responses go? expand_more

All responses are posted to a single thread in your channel. Each day gets its own thread, making it easy to scan updates and keep your channel clean.

Can I pause standups when I'm on vacation? expand_more

Yes! When you receive a standup DM, click "Pause" and select a return date. You won't receive prompts until then. You can resume early anytime.

Can managers see updates without participating? expand_more

Yes! Use /dumbcheckin subscribe to subscribe to any standup. You'll receive real-time DM notifications when team members submit their updates, without being a participant yourself.
