How do I create a standup?

Type /dumbcheckin in any channel where you want to run standups. Click "Create New Standup" and follow the prompts to set your standup name, schedule, and timezone. Make sure to invite the bot to the channel first with /invite @Dumb Check In.

How do I change the standup schedule?

Use /dumbcheckin in the channel, find your standup, and click "Edit". You can change the time, timezone, and which days the standup runs. Only the standup owner or workspace admins can make these changes.

How do I add or remove team members?

Use /dumbcheckin and click "Members" on your standup. You can add members by selecting them from your workspace or remove existing members. Members will receive DM prompts at the scheduled time.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Use /dumbcheckin and click "Plan & Settings". From there you can access the billing portal to manage your subscription, update payment methods, or cancel. Your standups will continue working until the end of your billing period.

Can I skip a standup response?

Yes! When you receive a standup DM, you can click the "Skip" button if you're out of office or don't have an update. Your skip will be noted in the channel thread so your team knows you saw the prompt.

What happens if I uninstall the app?

When you remove Dumb Check In from your Slack workspace, all your standup configurations and stored responses will be deleted within 30 days. If you reinstall later, you'll need to set up your standups again.

Can managers see updates without participating?

Yes! Use /dumbcheckin subscribe to subscribe to standups. You'll receive real-time DM notifications when team members submit their updates, without being prompted to submit yourself. Note: You can only subscribe to standups in channels where you're a member.
